Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Carry heavy materials such as shingles, metal sheets, and insulation to designated areas
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for metal roofing components or structural supports
- Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication tasks as needed on-site
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment
- Prior construction experience is highly desirable, especially in roofing or related fields
- Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and safety standards
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, carpentry or fabrication is a plus
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and working at heights for extended periods
