Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker to work alongside our client in their own home.
Shift Patterns and Contracted Hours Per Week:
- Term Time 06:15 - 08:15 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and
- 16:00 – 20:00 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
- School Holidays 36 hours a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
The Successful Candidate:
Should be available to cover annual leave and periods of absence to meet the needs of our client and as part of the support team.
We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary £14 per hour in the week and £16 per hour at the weekends depending on experience, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.
The Client:
X lives on the Isle of Sheppey. Therefore, you will need a manual driver’s licence. You would also need your own vehicle to get to our client’s location as it is not easily accessible via public transport.
The Environment:
X lives at home with her family and attends a day school during the week. The house is fully adapted to meet X’s needs.
The Role:
X is looking for a Support Worker to join her small team to help manage her daily routines when she is not at school.
X has cerebral palsy and requires assistance with her activities of daily living and therapies. Most of the shifts are around the school day and are provided on a 2:1 basis. Therefore, you would be working alongside an experienced carer or parent.
During school holidays you would be supporting her with outings and activities such as going to the cinema, soft play, beach etc.
Full training in all aspects of our client’s care will be given and you will be fully supported by the Case Manager, current carers and parents.
There is training and support regarding medication, therapy, manual handling etc.
About You:
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience supporting a young person/adult with complex needs with personal care and general support.
You will be kind, positive, reliable with good timekeeping. Have a sense of humour, be fun energetic and enthusiastic in the role, and a team player.
You will maintain client confidentiality and build a relationship of trust with our client and her family.
You will be confident in manual handling, providing personal care and nutrition management.
You will have a willingness to participate and follow training modules which are provided as part of the role.
This role requires you to be a driver who can drive our client’s manual vehicle. Therefore, you will have a driver’s licence. You would also need your own vehicle to get to our client’s location as it is not easily accessible via public transport.
