The role involves physical outdoor work, including working on live highway sites, handling equipment, assisting with pavement coring, collecting samples, supporting surveys and operating specialist equipment. Full training will be provided, but applicants should be comfortable with manual work, night shifts, travel and working in a safety-critical environment.
There is regular opportunity for overtime and unsociable hours due to the nature of the work.

Support site set-up, clearance and safe working arrangements.
-
Operate or assist with specialist survey vehicles and equipment.
-
Support Ground Penetrating Radar surveys and other road condition data collection activities.
-
Record site information accurately using tablets, forms and basic IT systems.
-

-
Support laboratory preparation and analysis of samples where required.
-
Work safely in accordance with RAMS, site briefings and company procedures.
Essential Requirements

-
Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
-
Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, tablets or mobile devices.
-
Willingness to work predominantly night shifts, with overtime and unsociable hours.
-
Flexibility to travel across the UK as required.
-
Ability to undertake physical site work safely.
Desirable Requirements
-
CSCS card or equivalent site safety qualification.
-
Experience working on highways or live road environments.
-
Experience with pavement coring, reinstatement or road condition surveys.
-

-
First aid, manual handling, CAT and Genny, or other site-based training.
Training and Career Development
Full training will be provided for the specialist aspects of the role, including highway survey methods, pavement coring, equipment use, site procedures, safety requirements and sample handling.
There is also good opportunity for career development within the Field Services team, with the potential to gain further site qualifications, develop specialist survey skills and progress into more senior operative or supervisory roles over time.
