Overview
Ensuring that raw materials received and finished products produced are legal, within specification, and of the highest quality. Acting on quality issues, delivering reports, and driving continuous improvement of Quality Systems.
Duties
- Create and maintain graphs for material testing, inform Quality Manager on the observed trends.
- Raise concession, deviation, non-conformance report or quarantine product when product is out of specification, find out what is the root cause and propose solution to prevent re-occurrence.
- Guide production stuff including agency workers on product quality, SOP/process changes. Assist on production check board and lead quality section.
- Investigate customer complaints, identify root cause, propose corrective actions and solutions to Quality Manager.
- Report status of Quarantine Area and suggest actions that should be taken to reduce number of pallets.
- Liaise with Engineering if faults are spotted
- Maintain and create internal specifications.
- Provide support to Quality Manager during site audits.
- Generate monthly report summarising all activities and KPIs from your key area flagging concerns and giving suggestions for the improvement.
- Authority to stop the line in the event of spotting that product does not meet quality or packaging standards.
- Raise non-conformance report. Follow up on supplier correction. Track labour cost for fails and report all outcome to Quality Manager.
- Report status of Quarantine Area and suggest actions that should be taken to reduce number of not necessary stored products.
- Investigate customer complaints, suggest corrective actions and submit complete investigation report to Quality Manager.
- Monitor status of pick locations especially licensed stock aisles to ensure that product is matching pick face location, is undamaged, labelled, with correct destination sheet assigned to the pick face. Address issues and ensure that relevant actions have been taken and complete.
- Liaise with team on clearing/disposing of short dated or obsolete stock
- Generate monthly report summarising all activities and KPIs from your key area flagging concerns and giving suggestions for the improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Promotes safe working practices.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office.
- Highly self-motivated, results-driven and tenacious, with a strong ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Extremely organised and logical, with the ability to develop new procedures.
- Strong communication skills, including a coaching approach and the ability to train others.
- A positive team player with the ability to lead, inspire and influence others.

Experience:
- Quality assurance: 2 years (preferred)
- Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
