We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at KeyStore More Prestwick. We require all applicants to be over the age of 18 years old due to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products within the store.
This is a hands-on role in a busy convenience store, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, can work well as part of a team and is comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment.
Previous retail experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Assistant, your duties will include:
· Providing friendly and helpful customer service
· Serving customers efficiently at the till
· Handling cash and card payments accurately
· Replenishing shelves and keeping the store fully stocked
· Rotating stock and checking product dates
· Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
· Keeping the shop floor, till area and other work areas clean and tidy
· Maintaining well-presented shelves and promotional displays
· Checking prices and promotional signage
· Helping customers find products
· Following store procedures for age-restricted products
· Supporting other team members during busy periods
· Carrying out general day-to-day duties to help keep the store running smoothly

Previous experience in a convenience store, supermarket, petrol station or other retail environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Working Hours
The role will involve a mixture of shifts depending on the needs of the store.
Applicants should ideally have some flexibility to work:
· Weekdays
· Evenings
· Weekends
Both part-time and full-time applicants may be considered, depending on availability.
