The Landmark Burnley is a thriving business and events venue in the heart of Burnley, hosting everything from weddings and private celebrations to corporate events, conferences, and live entertainment. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and professional Events & Bar Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the successful delivery of events, supervise staff during service, and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
The Role
As an Events & Bar Supervisor, you will play a key role in the smooth running of a wide variety of events. You'll support the Events Management team, lead by example during service, and help ensure every event is delivered to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Events Management team in the operations of weddings, conferences, private functions, and live events, acting as a reliable point of contact for event staff and guests throughout events.
- Supervise and support the event and bar team during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and professional standards.
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and barista-style coffees.
- Assist with the planning, setup, and breakdown of events, ensuring rooms are presented to a high standard and efficiently reset.
- Assist with bar stock through stock rotation, replenishment, regular stock takes, and end-of-month inventory, helping to minimise wastage and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across all event & bar spaces, including carrying out line cleaning, changing kegs, and ensuring all bar equipment is clean, safe, and in good working order.

- Assist with opening and closing procedures when required, ensuring the venue is secure, clean, and prepared for future events.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in hospitality, events, or bar operations (essential).
- Experienced in supporting or supervising a team (desirable).
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to use their initiative.
- Friendly, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with high standards of presentation and service.
Working Hours
This is a part time position, primarily working evenings and weekends, with occasional weekday shifts to support operations. Flexibility is essential, as event schedules vary throughout the year.
Due to the nature of this role, which includes the sale and service of alcohol at many events, applicants must be aged 18 or over and be willing and able to carry out these duties.
