Duties
- Manage and coordinate fleet schedules using transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and compliance with safety regulations to maximize fleet efficiency
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, verifying documentation and tracking shipments through systems like AS400 and SyteLine
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate transportation services and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate data entry related to fleet operations, including logs, reports, and inventory records
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and external partners via phone etiquette and clear messaging
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL operations
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data and optimize fleet performance
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly over phone or written correspondence
- Proficiency in data entry, typing, and using software like SyteLine for inventory and order management
- Knowledge of logistics best practices and compliance standards
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
