Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to join us here at The Shooting Star. This role will very much suit a ready made night owl, as we close at 3am everyday and the shifts for this role will reflect those times.
Duties
- Oversee bar operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and high standards of customer service
- Supervise and support bar staff, including training new team members and managing shifts
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar and kitchen
- Serve drinks to customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality experience
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist in planning special events or promotions to enhance customer engagement
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a hospitality environment
- Knowledge of shaken cocktails are a plus, but full training can be provided
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Good understanding of serving protocols and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with staff and customers
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
