Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant (L3 TA) to join our team in Nottingham. This position provides an enriching environment for those committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience within the education sector.
Duties
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored educational activities that meet individual needs
- Prepare classroom resources and materials
- Support pupils individually and in small groups independently
- Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement
- Work with students of varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Help track and report on student progress
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning
- Ensure student safety and follow safeguarding policies
- Provide one-to-one mentoring, tutoring, and behavioural support to students requiring additional assistance
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social development and independence
- Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour as required
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure holistic support for students
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 3 Diploma)
- Understanding of the UK curriculum
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Classroom management skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with SEN
- Passion for mentoring and supporting children's development
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
