Video Editor – Feathr Productions
Feathr is a Christchurch-based video production company producing a wide range of content for our clients, from long-form podcasts and YouTube videos through to short-form social content. We're a small, fast-moving team and need an editor who can jump straight into a live workflow.
What you'll actually be doing
- Full edits of podcast episodes and YouTube videos, plus cutting that same footage down into short-form clips for Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok
- Working from transcripts to find and cut clean in/out points fast
- Writing and styling captions and title cards to match each client's brand, we run several distinct visual identities at once so attention to detail on colour, font and tone matters
- Colour correction, audio cleanup (removing dead air and filler words) and basic sound design
- Managing multiple client accounts and deadlines in the same week. This is a high volume, fast turnaround role, not a one project at a time job
- Working with motion graphics tools for branded intros, lower thirds and b-roll where needed
- Attending shoots alongside the team, and potentially operating a camera yourself where needed
- Keeping projects and assets organised so anyone on the team can pick up a file and understand it
What you'll need
- Strong, demonstrable experience in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (proxy workflows on large files a plus)
- Comfortable working from transcripts and word-level timestamps to cut efficiently
- Good eye for colour, pacing and brand consistency across multiple clients at once
- Organised and able to juggle several live projects without dropping deadlines
- A proper can-do attitude and the initiative to solve problems without needing everything spelled out
- Camera or filming experience is a strong plus, you may be asked to shoot as well as edit
- After Effects or motion graphics experience is a bonus, not essential
Bonus points
- A full, valid UK driving licence. We regularly need editors to travel to shoots, both studio and on location.
Details
Location: Christchurch, Dorset. Hybrid, but mainly office-based.
Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
