Technician
Starting salary between £24414 and £28152 per annum
Full Time - an average of 37 hours per week on a shift rota basis
Based at Alive Corn Exchange, Kings Lynn
We have an opportunity for a skilled and adaptable Technician to join our Alive Corn Exchange team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality live performances, events and cinema presentations. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a busy and varied venue, helping to create memorable experiences for audiences across West Norfolk.
Working as part of the technical team, you will be responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of a wide range of stage equipment, including lighting, sound, AV and staging systems. From supporting visiting productions to delivering in-house events, you’ll ensure all technical aspects run smoothly, safely and to a high standard. You will also contribute to stage management, auditorium changes and the day-to-day operational running of the venue.
You will bring hands-on experience from a theatre, concert hall or live events environment, with a strong technical understanding of stage operations and equipment. With a solid awareness of health and safety requirements, you will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, supervising colleagues where needed and adapting quickly to changing event requirements. Experience of industry-standard systems, rigging or electrical testing would be an advantage.
This role will include evening, weekend and bank holiday working in line with the events programme. If you are passionate about live events and want to be part of a team delivering a diverse and exciting cultural offer this could be the role for you.
