Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to take ownership of core people operations and provide day-to-day HR support across the business. The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who can work independently, build effective processes, and act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
· Monitor HR compliance requirements and support the implementation of policies and processes to ensure best practice.
· Oversee payroll operations, including the accurate recording and processing of annual leave, sickness, and other employee absences.
· Manage and maintain employee rotas, ensuring staffing requirements are effectively planned and communicated.
· Produce regular HR reports and workforce data to support business decision-making.
· Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation management, contractual changes, and offboarding processes.
· Conduct employment checks, including right-to-work verification, reference checks, and maintaining compliance documentation.
· Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar HR Generalist or HR Manager role.
- CIPD Level 5 / Level 7 desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing payroll inputs.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels.
- Experience with data entry, record keeping, and generating HR reports.
- Organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Pay: £24,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
