Job Purpose
To ensure the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and floors
- Support the kitchen team by ensuring a constant supply of clean plates, cutlery, and cookware
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Carry out tasks efficiently, often working independently with minimal supervision
- Provide consistent and reliable support to the wider kitchen and food service team
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene, COSHH, and health & safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including mornings and evenings
- A professional and dependable attitude
