An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at the RSPCA clinic based in Gorleston.
We are looking for a compassionate and confident small animal vet with a minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience to join us in this part-time, permanent role, working 16 hours per week over 2 days (9:00am–5:30pm).
This is currently a consults-only position, ideal for a vet who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality first opinion care in a supportive charity environment. You will provide veterinary care to both RSPCA branch animals and clients accessing our means-tested community veterinary service, making a genuine difference to animal welfare within the local community.
As our service continues to grow, there may be the opportunity to undertake surgical/operating days in the future once our new clinic is completed.
The role offers:
- Salary approx £29,000 per annum
- 16 hours per week over 2 days with working hours 9:00am-5:30pm
- No out-of-hours, bank holiday or weekend commitments
- VDS and RCVS fees paid
- Approx 11 days paid holiday allowance
- Opportunity to help shape an expanding charity-led veterinary service
Our ideal candidate will be:
- MRCVS registered and eligible to work in the UK
- Has at least 2 years’ small animal experience
- Is confident with consultations and clinical decision-making
- Has excellent communication and client care skills
