We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant (AAT/ACCA) to join our Henfield Practice. A Bit About Us
We are Accountancy and Business Matters Ltd, a small independent accountancy practice in Henfield, West Sussex. We work with a wide variety of clients, so no day is quite the same. As a small practice, teamwork is incredibly important to us and we have created an open plan office space to support this. Being a growing firm with an expanding client base, we are looking for an extra member to join our team to support us with the increase in workload.
A Bit About the Job
Dependent on the experience that you have, you will be supported with and assist in preparing accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders. As well as this, you will complete bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns for a wide variety of clients. There will also be the opportunity to prepare corporation tax returns and assist in year-end accounts preparation and reconciliations. Eventually, you will work independently on this as you build confidence and work through your qualifications. You will need to liaise directly with clients and build a trusted relationship with them. Collaboration with colleagues is a big part of how we work as a small team so there will be an expectation to support others, but you will get the same in return.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently but also values being part of a supportive team. We are more than happy to work with a candidate who is either part or fully qualified, whether this is AAT, ACCA, a degree or other. You will need to be to demonstrate a willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, to be self-motivated and with a desire to exceed expectations.
