We're building a kitchen that focuses on fresh British ingredients, quality cooking and genuine hospitality—not shortcuts. Everything from our pies and sauces to our desserts is made with care, and we're looking for a talented Sous Chef who shares that passion.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver consistently high standards while supporting and developing the team.
You'll be trusted to take ownership of service, contribute ideas to seasonal menus and help shape the future of our food offering.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.
- Loves working with fresh, seasonal produce.
- Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food.
- Leads by example and enjoys developing others.
- Stays calm and organised during busy services.
- Has excellent food hygiene and kitchen management standards.
- Wants to be part of an ambitious independent business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen.
- Leading the kitchen during service and in the Head Chef's absence.
- Preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Helping develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Training and motivating junior members of the team.
- Managing stock, ordering and reducing food waste.
- Maintaining excellent food safety and cleanliness standards.
