We are seeking a proactive and dependable Handy Man (Live-In) to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our property.
This role offers the unique opportunity to live on-site, providing hands-on support with repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong mechanical and electrical background. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
The live-in accommodation and meals are inlcuded in the salary.

Nestled within its very own bay looking down Loch Awe and within an easy drive of Glencoe and Glen Etive via the spectacular Glen Orchy, close to Oban – the ferry gateway to Western Isles of Mull and Iona – we are the ideal place in which to enjoy the very best of this beautiful corner of the West Highlands.
Visa support not available for this role, so only UK based candidates will be considered.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across the property, including some or all of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs
- Oversee M&E systems, ensuring optimal operation and timely repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents’ repair requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience with general maintenance and day to day repairs in a property
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a live-in setting
- Fluent in English; effective communication skills are required
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to maintenance work
- Own transport required
