This is a fixed term role until the 31st of July 2027
We are seeking an experienced human resource professional to lead our employee relations team to deliver excellent, solutions-orientated business partnering. Reporting to the Director of HR and as a member of the HR Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the employee relations agenda to deliver outcomes in support of the university’s strategy and workforce plan. You will be an exemplar business partner to senior managers on key issues and cases and will be the key management interface with our trade unions, encouraging a partnership approach and ensuring productive relationships.
To apply you must be an effective leader able to influence culture and behaviours, with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement. As a senior HR professional, you will have a track record of successfully managing organisational change and complex casework and be able to bring expert knowledge to advise on employee relations matters, policy development and embedding best practice approaches. With a solutions-orientated approach and the ability to develop innovative and pragmatic outcomes, you will also be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working with trade unions and of developing effective relationships that facilitate open dialogue and the resolution of disputes.
