Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our café. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the smooth running of daily operations. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards
- Assist customers with orders, answer queries, and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including work surfaces and equipment
- Support food preparation activities, including handling light snacks or baked goods as required
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using basic maths skills
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of products throughout the shift
- Assist with general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the premises
- Contribute positively to team efforts by supporting colleagues during busy periods
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for all aspects of coffee making and food handling
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong organisational skills with good time management to prioritise tasks effectively
- Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service
