Fleet & Environmental Services Manager
Chessington | Up to £51,382.50 per annum + £6,000 Vehicle Allowance |Permanent/Full-Time
We are recruiting for an experienced Fleet & Environmental Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a large commercial vehicle fleet while leading environmental services operations. The role is responsible for ensuring fleet compliance, vehicle availability, maintenance management and environmental best practices across the business.
The Role:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a large commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring full compliance with servicing, MOTs, road tax and vehicle legislation.
- Overseeing vehicle maintenance, repairs, insurance claims and road traffic incident investigations.
- Monitoring telematics data and implementing driver safety improvements.
- Managing fleet inductions, vehicle allocations and the leavers process.
- Producing fleet reports, monitoring fuel usage and overseeing congestion charge compliance.
- Leading environmental services activities including waste collection, disposal and recycling operations.
- Managing and supporting the Fleet & Environmental Services Coordinator.
- Reviewing and improving fleet and environmental procedures and policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience managing a commercial vehicle fleet.
- Experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high compliance standards.
- Experience within multi-site organisations would be advantageous.
- Transport Manager CPC desirable but not essential.
