With the decor inspired by the Hanok Houses of Korea, we offer a place to peacefully enjoy your drinks. Vegan Korean style brunch and lunch and baked goods inspired by the bakeries of Seoul. Our cafe is open from 9-4.
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to customers, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. In August the hours will be adhoc but from September it would be permanent hours. This is for a permanent position so please do not apply if you are only looking for a summer job.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Assist customers in choosing beverages and provide recommendations when needed
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Uphold high standards of customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner
- Follow food safety procedures to ensure quality and freshness of products
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours
**Requirements:**
- Prior experience as a barista and in customer service is essential
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and willingness to adhere to them
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and other team members in a positive manner
- Reliability and punctuality is essential
