Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker at Quest Haven Ltd, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support to service users with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, including emotional and personal care.
- Acting as a key worker for designated service users, ensuring individualised care plans are implemented.
- Encouraging service users to make informed choices, experience new opportunities, and participate in meaningful activities.
- Supporting service users with household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and laundry, to maintain a comfortable home environment.
- Assisting service users to access local community services, leisure activities, and healthcare services.
- Ensuring the highest standards of care, hygiene, and safety in all aspects of service delivery.
- Promoting independence and dignity in the lives of service users.
- Providing practical and emotional support in personal relationships and financial management.
- Participating in service user reviews, preparing reports, and contributing to action planning.
- Following Quest Haven’s policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct to ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all service users.
Health and Safety
- Operate and maintain safe systems of work, following relevant regulations and company policies.
- Report any risks, incidents, or accidents to the manager promptly.

Essential Requirements
- Experience in providing care or working with vulnerable adults.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
- Willingness to undertake a Health and Social Care Diploma Level 2 within two years of appointment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality and the needs of service users.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with service users, their families, and professionals.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health needs
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must undergo a DBS check and provide references from past employers.
- Drivers must have held a valid UK licence for at least two years with no more than six points (where required).
