Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven Floor Manager to lead operations at our stone fabrication facility. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who is passionate about their craft, takes real ownership of their responsibilities, and is capable of driving high standards across the team every day.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and understands the demands and precision required when delivering work for high-end construction and interiors projects.
Duties
- Supervising day-to-day factory floor operations
- Managing workflow within the stone fabrication facility
- Overseeing staff performance and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Monitoring and maintaining quality control of fabricated products
- Coordinating production schedules and deadlines
- Supervising the safe use of machinery and equipment
- Managing materials and stock within the facility
- Reporting operational issues to senior management
- Conducting staff inductions, toolbox talks, and on-the-job training
- Managing staff rotas, attendance, and absence records
- Conducting regular machinery maintenance checks and arranging servicing where required
- Ensuring the facility meets environmental and waste disposal requirements
- Conducting risk assessments and contributing to the Company’s H&S documentation
- Reading and providing CAD drawings to support the production process
- Producing construction drawings as required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience & Industry Knowledge
- Proven experience in the construction industry, with experience in stone fabrication strongly preferred
- A solid understanding of natural stone, engineered stone, porcelain, quartz and all types of natural materials and their fabrication requirements
- A track record of working on high-end, prestigious projects where quality and precision are paramount
- Experience managing a production or fabrication team in a hands-on environment
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software, with the ability to both read and produce technical and construction drawings
- Strong working knowledge of fabrication machinery and equipment
- Familiarity with H&S regulations and risk assessment processes in a manufacturing environment

Pay: From £53,000.00 per year
