Sous Chef

Salary: Up to £27,561.60 per year (£13.20 per hour) plus benefits
We're looking for a Sous Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at ibis Styles Crewe.

What you'll be doing:
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef to help keep the kitchen running smoothly and ensure our guests enjoy delicious, high-quality meals every time they visit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes to our brand standards
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and reducing waste
- Supporting and guiding team members during busy service periods
- Ensuring food is presented well and served promptly
- Helping to keep the kitchen clean, organised, and efficient
What we're looking for:
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- At least one year's experience working in a professional kitchen
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety requirements
- The ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to lead by example
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends
