Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high standards of finish and durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines diligently throughout each task
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements and updates
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and departure
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to promote safety and efficiency
- Complete detailed work reports and document project progress regularly
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields
- Ability to operate painting tools, brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and ladders safely
- Strong communication skills in English for clear understanding of instructions and collaboration
- Valid driving license with reliable driving skills for site travel
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
