About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Materials Coordinator to join our team in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with stock control and purchasing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, parts, and equipment are sourced efficiently to support both customer requirements and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and order parts for engineers and as requested by customers
- Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for tenders
- Prepare customer quotations and follow up to convert enquiries into orders
- Maintain stock levels to meet sales and operational requirements
- Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
- Arrange deliveries and collections to and from customer sites
- Coordinate servicing and calibration of hand tools with approved suppliers
- Prepare Materials Requisitions for accounts processing
- Support general warehouse and office duties as required
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in stock control
- Strong numeracy and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident using computer systems, including Sage Line 50
- Experience with electronic parts systems preferred
- Full UK driving licence essential
Training Provided
Full product and systems training will be provided on:
- Company IMS (Integrated Management System)
- Volvo Penta, Yanmar and Steyr Motors parts systems
- Mariner and Mercury outboard petrol engines
- Maritime Partner rescue craft
Preferred Qualifications
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
