Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time proactive Barista/All rounder to join our independent bakery and coffee shop where your enthusiasm and dedication will create memorable experiences for our customers. We are looking for approx 2 days a week that include most Saturdays, the shifts are from 7am to 4pm.
In this dynamic role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, crafting delicious beverages, serving food with care, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
- Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and providing excellent service in a friendly manner
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking efficiently and managing time effectively
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure safe handling of beverages and food items
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps deliver seamless service
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
- Strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
