We’re looking for new team members for our front‑of‑house team at the Elm Tree, Surbiton. Experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided. We're looking for a strong personality who can make every person that walks through the door feel welcome, whether a first visit or the regular who pops in every other day!
What you’ll bring:
- Serve drinks and assist customers with their orders in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic maths skills
- Restock bar supplies and manage stock levels effectively
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables as required during busy periods
- Manage time effectively during shifts to ensure smooth service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Good organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and balancing tills
- Excellent time management to ensure prompt service during busy hours
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
