Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting manufacturing and maintenance activities, ensuring the efficient operation of service and install. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly, basic repairs, and routine maintenance tasks within a fast-paced industrial environment. Prior experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right individual. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain practical experience in engineering operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly and installation of machinery and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery operates smoothly and safely.
- Support the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical faults, liaising with senior engineers as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist in the loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the warehouse or production area.
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of basic engineering principles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in assembly processes within a warehouse or manufacturing setting is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
