Wind is at the center of the energy transition. It provides an outstanding example of how governments and companies balance priorities across affordability, security, reliability and sustainability. It is a technical field, developed by engineering design choices, location-specific resources and increasingly sophisticated financing and market structures. It is also deeply interconnected with other parts of the energy transition including solar, storage, power markets and industrial decarbonization.
BNEF produces expert analysis, tools and datasets to support players in both onshore and offshore wind. This includes detailed installation forecasts, turbine price surveys, techno-economic models, operation and maintenance surveys, supply chain analysis, wind turbine contract rankings, asset financing and investment trends, auction assessments and policy analysis.
