Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across mainly commercial and industrial settings as well as some residential. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in various settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs promptly
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems
- Perform heavy lifting when required to move materials or equipment safely
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians or carpenters on complex projects
Skills
- Minimum of 4 years experience
- NVQ Level 3 or above Pluming Qualification
- Driving Licence essential
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair ideally in Hospitals, Schools, Councils or commercial setting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and related infrastructure
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical specifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of carpentry principles useful for structural modifications or adjustments
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment to job sites
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
