About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to lead our cleaning team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities.
The successful candidate will work alongside existing cleaners & oversee daily cleaning operations, manage staff schedules, conduct quality inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of cleaning staff
- Allocate daily tasks and manage work schedules
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are maintained
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching
- Monitor stock levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment as required
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety procedures
- Report maintenance issues, incidents, or concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, inspections, and inventory
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts if required
Desirable Qualifications
- COSHH awareness or certification
- Health and safety training
- Experience using cleaning management systems or scheduling software
- First aid certification
