Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to energize and enrich the lives of our residents. In this vital role, you will design, organise, and facilitate engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of our residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a vibrant community atmosphere, promote social interaction, and enhance overall well-being. Duties
- Develop and implement a diverse calendar of engaging, person centered activities that cater to residents’ interests, abilities, and care needs
- Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music sessions, games, outings, and wellness programs
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities support residents’ cognitive, emotional, and physical health
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all residents, including those with dementia or mobility challenges
- Monitor resident responses to activities and adjust plans to maximize engagement and enjoyment
- Maintain accurate records of participation, activity schedules, and resident feedback
- Communicate regularly with families and team members about upcoming events and resident involvement
Skills
- Proven experience in care settings
- Knowledge of dementia care and Alzheimer’s care best practices
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Confident, friendly and outgoing characteristics
- Creativity in designing engaging activities that promote socialization and cognitive stimulation
- Ability to adapt activities for residents with diverse needs and abilities
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for caregiving and enhancing quality of life
- Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules, supplies, and resident records

Pay: £12.71-£17.19 per hour
