YOU WILL NEED A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS RECENT EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A CARE RELATED ROLE WITHIN THE UK AND HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT
WE HAVE POSTIONS FOR: SUPPORT STAFF (DAYS: 0800-1800)
We provide Ongoing Support to our clients on a daily basis over 7 days a week. Staff are allocated shifts on a Weekly Rota basis, you will therefore be required to work every other weekend.
You will also need to have your own transport.
Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with Dementia, learning disabilities or other developmental disabilities within their own homes.
- Implement and follow care plans to ensure the well-being and safety of clients
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement behavioural interventions
- Monitor and document client progress and behaviour changes
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients and their families
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulations
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, Dementia or developmental disabilities is required and this must have been within the UK.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and as a lone worker
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathic approach to other people in your care
We support a number of Clients in the Plymouth areas and we are therefore looking for experienced staff to join our teams to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individuals we support.
We provide free Mandatory Update Training to ensure you have the skills and abilities to carry out your duties.
Please note that this position does not require a nursing degree. However, individuals with a nursing background are encouraged to apply as their experience may be beneficial in providing quality care.
