The Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead recruitment across Macc Care Group.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for ensuring our care homes have the people they need to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care. You will work closely with Home Managers, Regional Managers and Head Office teams to understand workforce requirements, fill vacancies quickly, build strong talent pipelines and reduce reliance on agency staffing.
You will also lead Head Office recruitment, support senior appointments and play a key role in recruitment planning for new home openings, acquisitions and future growth.
Experience of recruitment within health and social care is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment activity across all Macc Care Group homes, prioritising vacancies and staffing pressures.
- Work with Home and Regional Managers to develop proactive recruitment plans.
- Build talent pipelines across care, nursing, hospitality, maintenance and management roles.
- Manage high-volume and hard-to-fill recruitment campaigns.
- Lead recruitment for Head Office and senior appointments.
- Develop innovative attraction strategies using digital, social media, community and referral channels.
- Build relationships with colleges, universities, employment organisations and local communities.
- Manage the recruitment process from advertising and screening through to offer and onboarding.
- Ensure Right to Work, DBS, references and other pre-employment checks are completed appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with safer recruitment requirements, CQC expectations and employment legislation.
- Provide managers with recruitment advice, market insight and regular vacancy updates.
- Monitor recruitment performance, including time-to-hire, vacancy levels, agency usage, cost per hire and candidate conversion.
- Produce monthly recruitment reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support recruitment activity for new home openings, acquisitions and organisational growth.
- Represent Macc Care Group at careers events, recruitment fairs and community initiatives.
- Help strengthen our employer brand and deliver a positive candidate experience.
About You
You will be an experienced recruitment professional who understands the challenges of recruiting within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
You will bring:
- Proven recruitment management experience within health and social care or a comparable multi-site environment.
- Experience recruiting high-volume operational roles.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practice and employment legislation.
- The ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong interviewing, influencing and relationship-building abilities.
- A data-driven approach and experience using recruitment KPIs to improve performance.
- Excellent organisation, resilience and problem-solving skills.
- A results-focused and commercially aware approach.
- A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent candidate experience.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the Group.
Desirable: Knowledge of CQC safer recruitment requirements, ATS experience, experience supporting new service mobilisation or acquisitions, and a CIPD or equivalent HR/recruitment qualification.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary from £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
