Job Summary
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Driver to join our plastics recycling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of recycled plastic materials and finished products throughout the site. This role is key to maintaining smooth production flow while ensuring quality, safety, and operational standards are consistently met. Duties
- Operate a Forklift Truck safely and in accordance with site safety guidelines and operational procedures
- Load and unload incoming raw materials and outgoing finished recycled products
- Transport plastic materials between sorting, processing, storage, and production areas
- Store, and organise materials in designated locations
- Assist with feeding production lines and removing processed materials
- Conduct daily pre-use vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly
- Support stock control processes, including checking and recording goods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of yard and warehouse areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all health and safety regulations at all times, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills & Requirements
- Valid Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance) – essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Good attention to detail and awareness of safe load handling practices
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a factory or recycling setting
- Physical capability to assist with manual handling tasks where required
- Previous experience in a plastics recycling, manufacturing, or waste management environment is desirable, though not essential
