Chemical Mixer - Night Shift
Reports to: Production Manager
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 16:15 - 12:15 (Training will be completed during the day shift 07:45 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 14:45 Friday - for 3 consecutive weeks before moving to the night shift)

Job Description
Le Maitre is looking for a careful, methodical, and safety-conscious Chemical Mixer to join our night shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately mixing the chemical compounds used in the manufacture of our pyrotechnic products. This is a skilled and responsible position that requires strict adherence to safety protocols and precise attention to detail.
Full training will be provided. No formal qualifications are required – we are looking for the right attitude: someone who is thorough, reliable, and takes safety seriously.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday : 16:15 - 12:15
- Paid break: 18:30-18:45
- Unpaid dinner: 21:30 - 22:00
Main Duties
- Accurately weigh and mix chemical compounds in accordance with product specifications and batch instructions
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling chemical substances
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working area at all times
- Conduct quality checks on mixed batches to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Record all mixing activity accurately, including batch references, quantities, and any anomalies
- Report any safety concerns, spillages, or discrepancies to the Night Shift Manager immediately
- Work closely with production staff to ensure a steady and timely supply of materials
- Comply with all site health and safety regulations and company procedures
Who We’re Looking For
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
- A strong commitment to safety and following procedures precisely
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or production environment is an advantage but not essential – full training will be given
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment with hazardous materials
