We’re looking for someone bright, energetic and dependable to join our team at Red House Group. We’re a busy GP practice and need someone who enjoys getting things done, learns quickly and takes pride in doing a job properly. Above all, we want someone reliable, hard-working and willing to become a key part of the team.
Ideally, you will already have experience working within the NHS, particularly in General Practice. Experience with EMIS Web, Accurx or GP administration would be a significant advantage.
This is a varied role covering patient recalls, clinical data, online services and day-to-day practice administration. It’s an important behind-the-scenes role that helps keep the practice organised, safe and running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing patient recalls, including cervical screening and long term medication monitoring
- Supporting QOF and ECF recalls
- Coding vaccinations, immunisations and screening information
- Processing and monitoring online patient queries through Accurx
- Managing the email inbox
- Supporting patients with the NHS App, Patient Access and online access
- Managing clinical data submissions, including childhood immunisation data
- Processing safeguarding requests and maintaining relevant lists
- Supporting prescription and administrative workflows
- Working with electronic document systems including EZDOC
- Helping with day-to-day IT and Smartcard issues
- Providing administrative, secretarial and reception support when required
- Covering other members of the administrative team during absence
The role will develop over time as you gain experience and take on greater responsibility.

- Works hard and gets on with the job
- Is enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Is confident with computers and picks up new systems quickly
- Is organised and has excellent attention to detail
- Can manage their own workload and prioritise effectively
- Uses initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Is friendly, approachable and works well within a team
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information
What we offer
- NHS Pension Scheme
- Generous annual leave
- A supportive, friendly team
- Full training on our systems and processes
- A varied role with the opportunity to develop new skills

If you're reliable, capable, enjoy being busy and want to become an important part of a GP practice team, we'd like to hear from you.
