We have an exciting new vacancy for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at The Britannia Hotel in Manchester city centre! Our 363-room, Grade II listed hotel is ideally situated on the busy Portland Street, opposite Piccadilly Gardens bus station and just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station making it ideal for commuting.

Your duties will include:
- Supervising the daily operation of the maintenance team.
- Liaising with the hotel’s operational departments to ensure all guest needs and operational functions are prioritised.
- Ensuring necessary inspections of lifts, boilers etc are carried out and records maintained.
- Ensuring regular testing and management of the hotel’s safety systems.
- Responding effectively to emergencies.
- Conducting the recruitment, training and management of maintenance personnel and assisting in the training of all staff in respect of statutory training.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being out on the floor, carrying out maintenance work alongside the team and taking a proactive approach to keeping the hotel running smoothly. This is not a desk-based management position.
The successful candidate will have excellent DIY skills or be a trades person that can tackle various forms of maintenance work. You must also have a keen attention to detail and the ability to take initiative when tackling problems.
