Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues that arise
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably as a commercial or delivery driver
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; appropriate <PERSON> driver certification is a plus
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
