Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a desire to foster a nurturing environment for young children. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that children receive the highest standard of care and education.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities that promote children's development.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during playtime, meals, and other activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment.
- Support children's individual needs by providing appropriate guidance and encouragement.
- Manage daily routines, including feeding, napping, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and adults alike.
- Experience in childcare or nursery settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transport-related duties or outings.
