General Labourer – Fabrication Workshop
Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our busy fabrication workshop. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the workshop by supporting fabricators and welders, handling materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring work areas remain safe and organised.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators, welders, and workshop staff with daily tasks
- Load, unload, and move steel, materials, and finished products safely
- Prepare materials and components for fabrication work
- Operate basic hand and power tools when required
- Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Assist with painting steel beams
- Support stock handling and material organisation
- Follow all workshop health and safety procedures
- Carry out general labouring duties as directed by supervisors
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
