Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bricklaying Price Gang to join our construction team. This role is essential in providing accurate and competitive pricing estimates for bricklaying, masonry, and related trades. You will collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and site crews to ensure all costs are precise and comprehensive, supporting successful project planning and execution. Your energetic approach and technical expertise will help drive efficiency and quality across various building projects.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope of work for bricklaying and masonry tasks
- Calculate material quantities, labor hours, and equipment needs to develop detailed cost estimates
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials such as bricks, mortar, and masonry supplies
- Assist in preparing bid proposals by compiling all cost data into clear, professional documents
- Support project teams by providing ongoing cost analysis and adjustments as project details evolve
- Ensure all estimates adhere to safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices
- Maintain organized records of all pricing data, supplier quotes, and estimate revisions for future reference
Experience
- Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work with a solid understanding of construction processes
- Familiarity with estimating tools and software used in construction cost analysis
- Hands-on skills with hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment such as trowels, levels, mixers, and saws
- Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, welding, and general construction techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers effectively
