Overview

Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and process payments efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance their overall experience
- Restock bar supplies and monitor stock levels regularly
- Handle guest queries professionally, ensuring their needs are met promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and cash register operations
- Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is a plus
- Good organisational skills and time management to handle busy periods effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
