We are looking for dedicated and experienced mentors to support children and young people. This is a self-employed role, providing therapeutic and trauma-informed mentoring to children in care, previously looked-after children, and those with a social worker.
Pay: £17/20 per hour
Mileage paid: £0.40 per mile*
Location: Applicants must be based in Reading or willing to travel.
Essential Requirements:
Must be on the DBS Update Service or have a DBS dated within the last 6 months or willing to undertake one
Must have completed Safeguarding, GDPR, and Prevent training within the last 2 years
Must be responsible for their own learning and development (at no cost to the company)
Must be self-employed and responsible for own tax affairs

- Provide guidance and support to children in various settings, fostering their personal and academic growth.
- Develop and implement engaging mentoring programs tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to address special education requirements.
- Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork and social skills.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage development.
- Serve as a positive role model, inspiring youth to achieve their goals.
