Interim Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care (Watford)
Location: Watford (with some flexibility)
Contract: 3–6 months (Interim), part-time.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide leadership and regulatory oversight for our growing domiciliary care service in Hertfordshire.
This is a short-term engagement (3–6 months) to support the service through a key development phase, ensuring full compliance with CQC requirements and strengthening governance, quality, and operational processes.
There is also the opportunity for an ongoing consultancy/advisory role beyond the initial contract for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with overall responsibility for the service
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards
- Provide oversight of care delivery, safeguarding, and incident management
- Lead on audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Support and develop the internal management team
- Act as the primary point of contact for CQC and external stakeholders
- Ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care is consistently delivered
About You:
- Experienced Registered Manager within domiciliary care
- Strong working knowledge of CQC frameworks and inspections
- Proven track record of managing compliant services
- Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) essential
- Confident in governance, audits, and regulatory processes
- Able to provide both hands-on support and strategic oversight
- Available to commit on a flexible, part-time basis (typically 1–2 days per week)
