About the role
As an Occupational Therapist in our Review Team, you will use your core OT skills and professional reasoning to help people maximise independence and achieve their personal outcomes. You will work directly with people, families and carers to understand what matters to them in their daily lives and explore community resources and informal networks that support meaningful occupation and wellbeing. This role is fundamentally about functional assessment, enabling participation, and finding practical solutions that support people to live well in their own homes and communities. You will do this by carrying out holistic Occupational Therapy assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014, using functional analysis to identify barriers to independence and opportunities for change. You will review specific equipment and moving and handling practices, support reablement and recovery, focusing on skills, confidence and participation and contribute to safeguarding enquiries, using Making Safeguarding Personal principles
You will manage your own caseload, respond to urgent situations where needed, and act as a trusted assessor, recognising when to involve other specialists. Your documentation will be clear, defensible and rooted in strong professional reasoning.
You will also contribute to the development of Occupational Therapy practice within the team — through reflection, supervision, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues and students.
About you
You are a qualified Occupational Therapist, HCPC registered, who is passionate about enabling people to live the lives they choose.
You will bring:

A strong grounding in Occupational Therapy theory and practice, particularly in functional assessment and moving and handling practices

Sound knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and its application to OT practice

Experience working with individuals, families and partner agencies to achieve practical, person-centred outcomes

Confidence in applying professional judgement, managing risk and offering clear, evidence-based advice

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

You are reflective, resilient and motivated by making a difference.
