Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Class 2 Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle to deliver ready mix concrete to various sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for excellent service and operational efficiency. We pay 45 hours guaranteed with any overtime paid at the base rate. We always have Saturday morning work available paid at £20 per hour with a guarantee of 5 hours.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to transport ready mix concrete to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload concrete materials efficiently, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical checks as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Valid Class 2 (medium rigid) driving license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably within construction or concrete delivery environments
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle inspections and minor repairs
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as excavators is a plus but not essential
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation
