Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accountant & Administrator to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting and administrative tasks to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Experience with recognised accounting software is essential, and familiarity with multiple platforms will be advantageous.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Support administrative functions including scheduling, correspondence, and document organisation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies related to financial transactions.
- Liaise with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain organised records of all financial transactions and administrative activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential.
- Experience with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is advantageous.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
