The Role
This is a customer-focused support role at the heart of our Sales Team.
Working closely with our Sales Consultants, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to project completion. Alongside providing exceptional customer service and administrative support, you will use your commercial awareness to qualify enquiries, identify opportunities and help maximise every customer interaction.
You will be proactive, organised and confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues, ensuring every project is delivered efficiently while contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and tender responses.
- Support Sales Consultants throughout the sales process.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Process customer orders accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Coordinate deliveries and installations with internal teams and suppliers.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain quotations, lead times and product information.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the customer journey.
Account Development
- Qualify inbound enquiries and understand customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services across LOF, plann:d and Shh:d.
- Manage smaller sales opportunities and day-two business from existing customers.
- Proactively follow up quotations and customer enquiries to maximise conversion rates.
- Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Escalate larger project opportunities to the appropriate Sales Consultant while continuing to support the customer throughout the sales process.
CRM & Commercial Excellence
- Maintain exceptional CRM discipline, ensuring all customer information, quotations and opportunities are accurately recorded.
- Monitor outstanding actions and ensure timely follow-up with customers and suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and customer experience.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Customer Experience
- Deliver outstanding customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Encourage customer feedback and Trustpilot reviews.
- Identify opportunities for testimonials, case studies and marketing success stories.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout their project.
- Help create long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business.
About You
You will be commercially aware, highly organised and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced sales environment and take pride in supporting colleagues while ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Sales Support, Internal Sales or Account Development role.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience within the commercial office furniture, workplace interiors or fit-out sector.
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals and tender responses.
- Knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturers and workplace solutions.
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Effective support of the Sales Team.
- Proposal quality and quotation conversion rates.
- Management of smaller sales opportunities and day-two business.
- Cross-selling opportunities across LOF, plann:d and Shh:d.
- CRM accuracy and pipeline management.
- Customer satisfaction and Trustpilot performance.
- Individual contribution to team sales targets.
